Coming out of the auto racing off-season fog. It’s that time of year again when you start to stir a little more. You knock the winter snow and ice off. You start to break out of your wintry den. You shade your eyes from the sunlight and you start to seek the one thing that’s been missing over the last few months. You have a drive or an insatiable need that has to be filled. You begin to look for sources of the one thing you’ve been missing more than anything else. Auto Racing news and information. Yep, it’s almost the end of the auto racing off-season and things are starting to happen all over the racing world. The fog of the off season is starting to lift as racers, teams, owners, and sponsors from all types of racing start gearing up for their new season. It won’t be long now before we start seeing real burn-outs on the strips and we can hardly wait to hear the most famous words in motorsports, “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!” Racing teams are building their cars and making the final adjustments in preparation for an all-new racing season. Testing sessions are going on right now as the new and improved track at Daytona International Speedway has been put to the test by several racing series including some teams from the IRL, Sprint Cup, and some SCCA cars as they test and get ready to launch the 2008 season of racing. Formula One drivers are conducting test at tracks located all over the world, as they too, get ready for the first Grand Prix of the year. Drag racers are tuning and testing big block, blown engines in preparations for a fast and close season. Desert racers are completing the new body templates and frame requirements for the coming rally races. Teams are making the announcements about deals they have been working on during the down time and racing series are posting their new 2008 racing schedules. I’m starting to get the jitters. Racing facilities and track personnel are putting the finishing touches on upgrades and improvements for the coming season. People from all walks of life with a love of auto racing are starting to wake up and yearn for the sound of screaming engines again. It’s going to be a year filled with exciting racing action in all of the racing venues covered here in the pages of A2Z Auto Racing. Look for my new series of articles to help you get set and follow your favorite series/driver throughout the coming season. Each week I’ll post the Weekly Auto Racing Preview, which will list the upcoming events in most of the major racing series throughout the world. This article will tell you what to expect and who to look out for. Next, I’ll send you a the Weekly Auto Racing Newsletter filled with information about all types of racing from all over the world. For all your racing information needs, visit the A2Z Auto Racing Forum and see what the fans of auto racing are saying about their favorite type of racing. At the beginning of each week I’ll post the Weekly Auto Racing Results article. In this article, I will list the finishing order of the major racing series and give you the lap-by-lap or run-by-run commentary of the event. Remember, its all free! I also plan on conducting several chats with some of the personalities of the racing world this year. My first guest is already being scheduled. You’ll have to check here to see when this driver will be. Something new to look for this year on A2Z Auto Racing is the Reader’s Rides Articles. I’m going to feature a race driver’s racecar or race truck on the front page of my site for a whole week.
